Kinesiology

Kinesiology refers to the study of movement, motion and muscle function.

In 1964 Dr. George Goodheart discovered that the strength and functioning of muscles is linked to physical or emotional events in our body; from this simple observation he developed the muscle test which he used as a form of diagnosis and called that applied kinesiology. This primary feedback mechanism allows examining how the body is functioning and can determine the best therapy for the patient.

Muscle testing can access information from the person’s body/mind system. All the muscles are connected to the nervous system which in turn is connected to the brain. All stress starts off by just being a thought – this causes the motor pathway from the brain to the muscle to be blocked. Communication between the brain and the muscles can not be effective anymore as it is interrupted. The muscles will show a weak response.

Muscle testing can show any stress that is experienced by a person – useful indications are energy sensitivities to a particular food or substance or the stressful effect of a particular event or statement on the body.
